DIMITRIS SKALKOTOS

CONTEMPORARY GREEK SCULPTOR

Dimitris Skalkotos is a contemporary Greek sculptor whose practice explores the relationship between material, form, memory and space.

Rooted in the sculptural and marble-working tradition of Tinos, his work develops a contemporary language through marble, metal, bronze and mixed media.

His practice encompasses autonomous sculpture, installations, site-specific works and public art, with particular emphasis on the dialogue between sculptural form, architecture and the surrounding environment.

Through a process shaped by material, scale and spatial experience, Skalkotos approaches sculpture as a physical presence — a field where matter, memory and space converge.
